how to begin a personal practice

What is a personal practice?

A personal practice is a method of connecting with yourself, a practice of healing and growing from your own collected resources. There is great benefit from searching outside for answers, finding teachers, travelling to learn and experience. But what good is this knowledge if we can’t learn how to put it into practice? I have spent many years searching for what would fix me, I have and continue to find incredible teachers, trainings, books and courses- which have all been very significant and necessary in my journey. But it was once I began to take time on my own, allowing what I had learnt to come together in me, to integrate into its own unique recipe. That is when huge shifts and breakthroughs finally began to happen. Luna Sadhana and all of its offerings were created to share these methods, inspiring you to bring forward all of the knowledge in you, that you have been storing away for later. You know more than anyone what you need to feel complete, about what you need to move forward and become your highest self. In turn, showing up in the world able to fully embrace the talents and skills you are here to share.

Your path has been unlike anyone else’s, you have received challenges and lessons unique to you. Allow these to come forward through this practice, trust in you and what you have to teach yourself.

This is not a quick fix but it is a steady one. Purchasing a fresh journal to record this journey will be highly beneficial, it will be incredible to look back over and see how far you have come. You can always contact me for advice and support on your journey, I love to hear from you.

My personalised 40 Day Sadhana offering and 1-1’s are also available to help create your personal practice and dive much deeper into healing.

Luna Sadhana’s personal practice and teaching method is divided into three sections: yoga, meditation and journaling. Integrating daily work for your body, mind and spirit. You will see results from just one of these eg. just through focused consistent meditation. Or through going to yoga classes weekly, naturally the physical practice will begin to change your mental state, and then your emotional state and so on. However, combining all together can create enormous energy shifts, and quickly.

Body - yoga asana, nutrition, sufficient rest

Mind - meditation, solitude, study- increasing knowledge through books, talks, videos etc.

Spirit - relationship to yourself, to others, or a higher power. In my practise I encourage journaling to connect more deeply with ourselves

About the yoga:

In the free videos provided below, you have the choice of four different themes. These are named after the seasons and reflect the nature of them. You may choose to rotate these daily, weekly or seasonally. Woman may choose to use them in sync with their own cycle. Or you may choose one based on how you are feeling that day, for example if you are feeling a little under the weather Winter may be good for you to move slowly and go within.

About the meditation:

These are guided meditations written for a specific purpose. They work by bringing you into a deeply relaxed state, you may almost feel like you are dreaming. Whilst in this state your body naturally moves into healing mode and following the guided meditation may help to ‘unblock’, release emotions and reinforce positive beliefs.

For some people the visualisation can be very clear, for others it might not be, I then invite you to focus on your physical sensations as you are being guided through, you may be able to feel ‘energy shifts’ rather than visualise them.

A complete practice.

In just 30 minutes you will have experienced a deep and immersive personal practice. Follow daily to experience big changes!
