Amy Ling

Amy came to yoga to seek respite and heal her body after suffering health issues as a young adult. Her love for the practice and passion for health and wellbeing soon became the forefront of her work and studies.

Her passion lies in the body, in its movement, its relationship to nature, to health, illness, and healing. Through her formal training in dance, fine art, yoga, nutrition, and health and healing modalities; Amy’s work compiles and embodies these disciplines to create bodies of work which intersect the boundaries of art and academia.

Amy holds an MA in Yoga and Meditation Traditions and Medical Anthropology from SOAS, University of London. Her academic work explores the evolution of yoga asana, and the role of spirituality in illness, health and healing.

Amy has been practising yoga for over 15 years. Her teaching style encompasses her love for both dynamic movement and deep rest, understanding the importance of balance and equilibrium for a healthy body and mind.

Amy is available to teach yoga’s history and philosophy on Yoga Teacher Trainings and CPD courses and to assist in developing teacher training manuals. She is also an experienced yoga and wellness writer.
