new moon ritual

To step back into teaching Personal Practice, I’ve created a New Moon Ritual - a soft, nourishing journey weaving together a short movement practice, a guided meditation, and journaling prompts. Each step is designed to complement the next, offering a space to ground and reflect, while gently supporting integration at this potent seasonal moment.

The New Moon is a time of quietness, solitude, and inward reflection. A pause to listen, to dream, and to plant seeds of intention - before taking action.

This month’s New Moon falls in the earth sign of Taurus, bringing its own energy of connection to the body, to beauty, to the natural world, and to slow, meaningful creation. It’s an invitation to root deeper, to honour the senses, and to tend carefully to the life you are cultivating.

The full ritual will take around 1 hour to complete, but as always, I encourage you to move through it intuitively, letting your body guide the way.

If you have the space to close your practice with a warm epsom salt bath, this would be a beautiful way to seal in the energy of the ritual and nourish yourself even more deeply.

Move

Listen

Make yourself comfortable for the guided meditation, preferably lying down. You may wish to cover yourself with a blanket. An eye mask or eye pillow can also help you to relax and ‘drop-in’. The audio is best listened to through headphones.

Reflect

Take your time to journal what came up for you during the meditation. Feel free to use the prompts below, or allow yourself to free write.

  • What seeds did I plant during the meditation, and what do they symbolise for me? What deeper longing or vision are they connected to?

  • Where in my life do I already feel deeply rooted, stable, and supported? How can I honour and nurture these foundations even more?

  • What new qualities or energies within myself am I ready to grow and expand? What feels like it’s naturally trying to emerge?

  • Where am I being invited to practice patience, trust, and slow growth? What would it feel like to fully trust in the timing here?

  • What small, grounded actions can I take over the next month to nurture the seeds I’ve planted today? Think simple, tangible Taurus-style actions: tending, building, steady steps.
