NEW MOON IN LEO

NEW MOON IN LEO

THURSDAY 24TH JULY, 20:10

Ruled by the Sun, Leo is the sovereign, bold-hearted, and full of creativity. New moons are times of renewal, a quiet darkness where seeds are sown. This particular moon invites us to turn inward and ask: Where am I ready to shine? What truth of mine is longing to be expressed, regardless of who is watching?

As we also cross the threshold into Leo season, there is an invitation to meet yourself with warmth and courage. Not the loud kind, necessarily, but the steady kind. The courage to show up as you are, to honour your joy, and to create from the heart.

This is a time to reflect on visibility, authenticity, and desire. What would it feel like to prioritise your own needs today? What are you creating simply because it feels good, true, and alive in you?

PRACTICE

MOVE

LISTEN

To help you to ‘drop-in’ to the meditation, lie down somewhere comfortable and place a pillow or bolster under your knees. Then cover your eyes with an eye mask or weighted eye pillow and listen to the meditation through headphones.

JOURNAL

Optional reflection prompts, for journaling or quiet contemplation:

  1. What am I committed to building, slowly and with love?

  2. Where do I need structure? Where do I need softness?

  3. What small act of care—toward myself or others—can I offer today?

EXPAND YOUR RITUAL

If you have the opportunity to, full moon’s are the perfect time for a long, detoxing bath. This is my favourite recipe to pull out toxins, remineralise, and relax deeply:

  • Epsom salts - for magnesium - for the full moon, I add about 5-6 big handfuls

  • Bentonite clay - to draw out toxins - I sprinkle in what is probably a couple of tablespoons worth (if I am unwell, I will double)

  • Essential oils - up to 6 drops, my favourite is frankincense, otherwise lavender :)

When bathing, I usually take the opportunity to give myself a gentle facial with gua sha and cupping. Using organic olive oil, or my favourite, Mount Sapo oil <3 Then soak myself and drift off for as long as I need (20 mins at the very least!)

Enjoy.
