Full Moon Ritual

Full moon in Capricorn.
The full moon in Capricorn may bring an increase in formality, it is well known as contributing to a motivation in ‘work’ and discipline. Perhaps take this opportunity to reflect on what you consider your work. What it is that you are working towards and your motivations behind this. You can use any or all of the resources I have suggested below to compliment or complete your full moon ritual.
In general full moons are a time of letting go, for forgiveness. A time of reflecting where we are experiencing resistance and analysing if this resistance is a sign for us to grow and overcome the hurdles or alternatively a sign that we should consider a different route. They can ‘illuminate’ aspects of ourselves or circumstances in our lives we would rather not focus on. Often the more we are resisting, the more brutal the force might feel at this time. It can also show you what is waiting to transform, yet there may be some things that require attention in order to do so…
1.
Use this 10 minute gentle yoga class below to move slowly, to preserve and nurture your energy. Focusing on breath to connect deeply. Listening to your bodies needs. If you have a yoga block you can use it during this class.
Follow this with the guided meditation below
2.
Heal & Restore - To reinforce the most positive beliefs of you body and your health. To release negative feelings and emotions that can manifest as physical symptoms.
Find a quiet, comfortable space and listen with headphones, cover your eyes to help you relax deeper. Follow with the journaling prompts below to reinforce your experience.
Journal:
what came up for you that needed healing?
what negative thoughts/ beliefs came for you about your health/ body? did any memories resurface linked to these beliefs?
what did your most joyful and energetic self feel like?
note down any actions you can take to reinforce these positive feelings- you can also take any lingering ‘negative beliefs’ into Release & Reprogram
3.
Bahota Karam
Choose to take 3, 5 or the full 11 minutes for this meditation and set a timer. Sit or lie down comfortably, I find it can be extra effective to listen with headphones.
No matter where you are right now, visualise what it is that you are calling in and visualise yourself at your Highest Self, the Self that you are working towards. As you hold this vision allow the mantra to amplify and focus your energy.
When your timer goes off, take a long inhale and exhale deeply.
If possible do this before going to bed and without checking emails/ social media in between. This way your subconscious can continue to expand into this visualisation as you sleep.
